About us

No showroom to walk through, no catalogue to take home — a consultant who comes to your windows, with the samples, at a time that suits you.
Rivonia Blinds is a made-to-measure blinds, roller shutter and awning business working in Rivonia and the suburbs immediately around it. Everything we fit is manufactured to the sizes taken at your windows — there is no stock range being cut down to almost-fit, because almost-fit is what makes a blind look cheap two years later.
We work the way most people actually want a home service to work. You tell us what is bothering you about the light. A consultant comes to the house, measures every opening properly, and brings fabric and slat samples so you can hold them against your own afternoon sun rather than judging a colour on a screen. Then you get a written quote, itemised per window, and you decide — including deciding to leave two rooms for later.
Most of our work is complex living: townhouses, clusters and duplexes, where the window schedule repeats and the body corporate has an opinion about what shows from the street. We specify for both, and we would rather raise the awkward question at the measure than discover it on installation day.
We also repair. Snapped cords, tired tilt mechanisms, brackets that came loose after a repaint — if the mechanism allows a repair, that is cheaper for you than a new blind and we will tell you so.
